On August 20 the project „Rediscover Moldova" was started, which aims to promote national tourist attractions. 20 bloggers from Moldova and Romania started the expedition at 8.30 a.m. in the Square of Great National Assembly, the Government Press Service announced.
During the action „Rediscover Moldova", for one week bloggers will visit various tourist attractions. Such destinations as Sahara and Tipova monasteries, Old Orhei, Soroca city, Nistru and Prut floodplain localities, Natural Reservation „Pădurea Domnească”, Condrita and Capriana monasteries, Ungheni and Hincesti cities are part of the bloggers itinerary.
The project organizers provided the participants 5 cars that are equipped with a special battery that will give them the opportunity to have electricity for phones and notebooks wherever they are. Every day, bloggers posts will be accompanied by photos and videos.
Attending the launch of the project, Prime Minister Vlad Filat wished them success, noting that the initiative fits perfectly into the concept of promoting internal tourism.
„This action involves the participants by more than 6000 kilometers on the territory of Moldova and as a result many photos and video with picturesque destinations of the country. The action is a contribution to our country's image and can be framed perfectly in a larger project to promote tourism”, said Filat.
„Rediscover Moldova" will end in the Square of Great Ntional Asembly during the ceremony of celebration of Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, on August 27, 2012.
